"double it and give it to the next person" but the next person is Fergus... Such an inspiration, another great video!
Hahaha exactly, short form content with exactly that to follow
Goggins himself said "don't do what I do". He knows that there is high risk in what he does. So I totally agree with the fact that everyone need to see things from their own perspective and be cautious. You were right to point that out. It needs to be said. It's a mindset and everyone has a different starting point. Also, achievements go in the cookie jar. What I believe Goggins meant by not having achieved anything before the first book was that it was his biggest cookie yet because it required of him to be very vulnerable. He talks about it briefly in his second book. He also talks about his cookies going stale, which might be what you are referring to. Surprising fact but people change and evolve I guess. Anyway, mad respect for you on the double 4x4x48! This is mighty impressive and I'm very tempted to attempt it in the future. I'm currently prepping for my first 4x4x48 in May and looking forward to the grind! Also planning on doing a fully sleep deprived 4x4x48 next year to prep for the 2024 Spartan Agoge which spans to 60 hours. Gotta fill my cookie jar too with fresh cookies.
Hey everyone! Massive thank you for being here, an enormous amount of work has gone into this from myself and the team - so any likes, comments and shares are all massively appreciated!
Hope you enjoy, more technical debrief video to follow 🤝
Oh how your thumbnail clickbait made me chuckle Fergus 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Fergus for being the inspiration that you are. I've been really struggling with my mental health over the past few months and your approach to fitness and life in general have really helped me to restructure my life and to find some purpose. I completed the couch to 5k on new years eve 2022 and tomorrow I will complete a 10k run for the first time. For me the destination this year is to compete in a 5k, 10k, 1/2 and full marathons this year alongside doubling my 1rm in squat, deadlift and bench. I started at 17.5 stone and I've stableised at 15st and I've never felt better. I'm going to use my 2023 plan to raise money for men's health causes. Thanks again mate!
Amazing to hear! Best of luck tomorrow and moving forwards! Thanks for watching and for such a detailed comment.
I know it's very late since your comment, but how are things going for you these days? Did you meet your goals in 2023? What have you been up to since, and what's next for you?
hey man just wanted to say your videos are very high quality and entertaining. they motivate me to push hard in track meets, triathlons, and just regular training.
Dude, you're such an inspiration to me. Hope 2023 brings many fantastic things your way. You deserve it, my friend.
Your comments at the end of the video discussing your perspective on how to manage your own tolerances and pushing yourself is extremely insightful.
Man. If you two got together for a video collab… The internet wouldn’t just break, it would submit.
I’m down 🤷♂️
Don’t know about that cos no one knows who fergus is
It’s about time the world gets to know about Fergus. The man’s a living legend 👀
@@nordstrandmusicinternation9518well 116k people would disagree and say they know Fergus.
What a guy. Discovering your channel within the last month has been game changing motivation/guidance for my own training... keep it up
What a lovely, straight up and thoughtful person you are! Much credit to you sir👏👏👏
Ferguson, you have done it again sir! Another awesome physical & mental challenge in the bag, and another fantastic video capturing the whole thing. Thank you for these!
Something so Stoic about you running through the night on your own, fighting that good fight 🤙 genuinely inspiring
Fair play my man! I did 4x4x48 in 2021 and it was no joke, couldn't imagine doing 2 back to back. Great content as always
Thank you sir!
I have gone extended hours of little or no sleep doing shift work. I used to right a bike in my younger years. I cannot imagine the mindset to punish the body with 96 miles of running. Broken sleep / naps, and going out at night, when we should sleep, for one more run. This is human endurance at it very best.
Thank you for sharing, greatly appreciated
This is phenomenal. Fantastic effort. This channel just gets better and better.
Appreciate it Robert thank you!
Great work Fergus! Enjoyed seeing your mood swings back and forth, and seeing you crush a run 3 days in. Amazing.
Incredible! Great video. It isn’t about ‘see me’ but just being proud of your own capability to deal with being uncomfortable. And that is such a support for everybody. Inspires me to look for where my uncomfortableness is… Get there, learn from it and continue being mental stronger!
That was impressive. I live in Edinburgh and go through the Meadows everyday on the way to work so it was interesting to see such familiar paths. Great filming throughout.
I did a relay 24 hour bike race. 4 racers per team. 3 hours between laps. That was tough, sleeping in a tent and un-prepared AF. Tiny head lamp, trying to bike an unknown track in the dark.
mad respect for those long races, and this one at that rate.
I've done many of those 24h races... at the end I'm soooo smashed. These guys are freaks.
Fergus, you have done it again! You are a true inspiration and an absolute UNIT!
Thank you sir!
Love this mate - well done. Massive effort. Really enjoying the channel! And I absolutely agree with your assessment/thoughts of Goggin's approach at the end there.
When I did this challenge probably six months earlier I just did a 50 miler so I really thought this was gonna be no big deal. I was shocked about how hard it was about constantly getting up going running, and it was probably almost twice as hard as a fifth of just running 50 miles straight it was great. It really change some things in me. Double thumbs up.
Please publish your whoop stats for this event. I'd love to know what your strain and recovery was, especially for the last few days/runs
Hahaha it's a MESS - will be a key part of debrief video!
you deserve 10x the amount of subs. you’re smashing it. you’ve inspired me to start running
This is phenomenal fantastic efforts this channel just get better and better 💪👍
Mind boggling mission you've set for yourself, absolutely bonkers! Completed with style, you have my undeniable respect

What a great video💯Absolutely outstanding effort fergus!
One of the best and most inspiring videos I have watched on RUclips. Class 🔥🔥
Always great content Fergus. I’d watch you over Goggins any day
Just watched. That was Brilliant.! 🤩
Well Done. Great words after also, The challenges and rewards are important. Really fancy doing an Ironman. And want to enjoy it.!
I'm a total beginner runner. Started up this past year. Nose breathing for most stuff and it's way less irritating on the lungs, especially during cold days. Give it a try. I hated running before this method. MAF inspired me to try that, it keeps your heart rate down. No pain running is another benefit. I hated running back in the day. I'm 40 now and can out run my 20 year self.
.What a great video💯Absolutely outstanding effort fergus!
Epic challenge, fascinatingly articulate as usual and a marked difference in the production standard of the video.
Well done mate, also seeing Arthur’s seat made me reminisce the last time I was in Edinburgh doing it hung over lol
Fergus you have done it again you are a true inspiration and an absolute UNTl
WOW! Absolutely amazing. Crazy, but amazing too! Whew. I honestly am blown away that anyone could do this. Thank you for documenting and sharing with us.
Fair play my man! I did 4x4x48 in 2021 and it was no joke, couldn't imagine doing 2 back to back. Great content as always

Watched it with pleasure, such an inspiration and love your dry humor after the sleepless nights 😂
What a great video! Absolutely outstanding effort fergus!
What a great vedio,outstanding efforts,goo work.👍🏻👍🏻
Feels so weird seeing footage of Edinburgh like this. I legit live about 0.5km from this guy; when I saw the opening shot I was like ‘that looks like those buildings next to the meadows’ and ofc the first shot of the montage is a birds-eye view of the meadows.
Brilliant , very well done. I did the original back in 2020, and food wise peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches and a glass of milk before shower and head down helped me alot (my VO2 max went up too , even thought I ran very slow)
Such a great video, fantastic mate 👊
Great video Fergus. Well done
Just completed my 3rd 4x4x48 a couple weeks ago since there’s no “official” date this year for the challenge. I was thinking what it would be like to do it for 100 hours and then your video gets recommended! Incredible video and have been indulging in your content. Great stuff man very inspirational.
Hope to do an ironman someday soon. But for now, excited to be leaving the country for the first time w/o family and do the Paris Marathon in a couple weeks
Dude I’ve been adding a day every year an did 102.55 miles in 4X4X100, next year will suck doing 120 but I’m sure I’ll make it.
Absolutely incredible effort

Nice job. The treadmill would make it a little easier (or a mix and changing up routes), but still a good challenge for sure.

Such inspiration video
This is phenomenal.. fantastic
Finally someone who adress Goggins childhood trauma and how that still haunts him, although it cannot hurt him. I admire him alot, but no one seems to point that out.
Love this video!
Fantastic effort
Fantestic video amazing work well done❤
fantastic efforts
Amazing work out 👍
Very good workout keep up 💯
Very informative video
Congratulations on an awesome achievement! Were you honestly planning on running the same route EVERY TIME!? Ugh, I'd rather give up running all together than run the same route more than a few times in a row! 😂 Goggins is motivating and awe inspiring, but no one could accuse him of being healthy or well adjusted. 😅 Like you said, he took his own trauma and found a way to deal with it that worked for him. As an ultra runner, I see a lot of us channeling our inner demons into extreme forms of exercise, and I personally wouldn't have it any other way. It certainly makes for a full and interesting life! 😂
Great work👍👍
Truly inspiration 💪
Good Information❤❤❤
